Abergavenny Judo club is run by Mr. Paul Addis (3rd Dan) and Mr. Graham Dunlop (2nd Dan). Paul and Graham have been practising judo for over 30 years and are both qualified Club Coaches (Level 2) of the British Judo Association. The Club has helped multiple students to Black Belt standard as well as medal success at International level.
The Club teaches traditional judo skills and the latest competition techniques to both young and old, the energetic and the not so energetic!
The Club has been established for over 40 years, it was first started by Mr. Terry Edmunds (6th Dan) and subsequently run by Mr. Derek Rose (1st Dan).

After careful consideration we feel that we have no choice but to cancel judo classes due to concerns about Coronavirus. After the latest Government advice there doesn't seem any point in risking the health of Club members and their families at this time. The Club will be closed for the foreseeable future. Plan ahead
Spring Term
Classes will run from 10th Jan - 3rd Apr 2020 - no judo on 21st Feb 2020 (Half term) and 10th (Good Friday) and 17th Apr 2020
Summer Term
Classes will run from 24th Apr - 17th Jul
No judo on 8th May (Bank Holiday), 22nd May, 29th May, 5th Jun, 3rd Jul 2020.
